Oh, you Work at Home Moms… I see you.
With your tired eyes and exhausted brains, trying to keep up with it all. Waking up at an ungodly hour, just to squeeze in a bit of work before the littles ones awake. Can your brain actually explode? You don’t think so, but you’re too tired to think rationally about it. There’s just too much to think about. How many clients do you have now? How many tasks for each one? How many quiet hours will you find today, so you can focus on your job? Did you post on all the social media channels for your own business? Don’t forget all the household chores that need to get done daily. Dishes, laundry, grocery shopping, feeding & clothing the little ones, spending quality time with the little ones, not missing out on the little ones… How can you be expected to keep up with non-daily tasks? Changing sheets, cleaning toilets and refrigerators, mopping the kitchen… Are we already out of toilet paper? Summer brings its own challenges. Your work schedule was on point during school, but now… You’re too tired to think about keeping it up. Just fit in work when you can. At least it stays light outside in the evening, so it doesn’t feel as late when you’re still at your laptop at 8:30pm. All you want to do is grow your empire while still being a great mom and wife. Is that too much to ask? Oh yeah, you’re a wife too. Date nights? WHEN? You can’t even finish an email without a needy toddler tugging on your arm. Did we mention how you’re trying to keep up your volunteer hours too? That mission field didn’t disappear just because you started working. What about your spiritual life? Time with Jesus should be #1, right? And don’t forget to “fill your own cup”! You can’t serve others if you don’t serve yourself first. Sigh. But you’re strong, Work at Home Mom. Stronger than you think. Grab that coffee, roll on a stimulating essential oil, send up a prayer and get to work. You got this.
